Uptown Throws Away The Construction Cones and Celebrates Completion of San Felipe

San Felipe WideningOn Thursday, July 15, the Uptown Houston District with Mayor Annise Parker and Councilmember Oliver Pennington, cut through the “caution tape” and kicked the construction cones to the curb to celebrate the completion of San Felipe with a ceremonial ribbon cutting.

One of the city’s most traveled streets has been under construction for years, and now, the wait is over! Once known as one of the “roughest streets in Houston,” San Felipe is now a smooth easily traveled street and fully open for travel.
