The Uptown Houston hotel district includes the city's most successful hotels. Its occupancy rates are consistently the highest in the area year after year. The strong market demand for Uptown’s fine hotels is best measured by the average revenue per available room, $93 among the highest of the city's activity centers.

Uptown's profusion of first-quality, full-service hotels comprise Uptown's hotel district. It contains more than 7,000 hotel rooms, constituting more than 12% of Houston’s 58,600 hotel rooms. Uptown’s hotels generate 16%, or approximately $194 million, of Harris County’s total taxable lodging revenue; almost twice as much lodging revenue as any of Houston’s other activity centers

Hotel facilities range from business-class hotels to Houston's premier luxury lodging properties. Two of Houston's top three hotels, as rated by the American Automobile Association, are located in Uptown.

Within Uptown, visitors will find excellent shopping, restaurants, nightlife and meeting facilities. Convenient access to Houston's two airports, rich fine arts venues, Reliant Stadium, Medical Center and other activity centers makes Uptown the lodging destination of choice for leisure, business and meeting-group travelers alike.
